Wave 3 Complete!

We’ve officially finished all of the Wave 3 orders, and we’re moving onto chasing the last few stragglers in an impromptu Wave 4. If you haven’t gotten your order yet, head to BackerKit, make sure your card hasn’t been declined, and make sure your address is correct and locked. If all that fails, reach out to our support page and we’ll help you out. 

Wave 4

The vast majority of folks have received their packages, but there’s a handful of packages that, for one reason or another, didn’t make it into the primary waves of fulfillment. In particular, there are 425 people who have declined cards, and 266 people whose addresses weren’t locked in time for the initial waves. We will be charging cards and locking addresses for these people in 48 hours. Expect plenty of emails from BackerKit when this happens. 

Foundry!

Wave 3 Shipping!

It looks like our warehouse is finally on the other side of a massive holiday rush, and they’re finally shipping out Wave 3 orders! So if you had dice in your pledge, your package will be on the way shortly. 

Also there’s a smattering of about 400 people who for some reason or another have been grouped into a vague Wave 4. These are people who placed their pre-orders at the absolute last minute, had a card error for more than a few hours, or didn’t have their addresses locked in on time. Once Wave 3 is out the door, we’ll start shipping those oddball packages and we’ll place all of the Spire of Secrets products on the Mage Hand Press store! 

Foundry

We’re in the home stretch on Foundry. We’re knocking out the images and icons for every single feature, spell, feat, and so on, which has been hilariously time consuming. Holidays and falling ill with covid ate about three weeks of productive work, but we’re on the mend and wrapping things up!

Roll20 is also moving along at a surprisingly fast clip, but I'll have more concrete details on that next time!

Custom Valda's Character Sheets

We’re still shipping Wave 2 -- which has been slowed considerably by the holidays -- and we’re still finalizing the Foundry VTT, but I wanted to send everyone a free digital gift for hanging with us so far.

Custom Character Sheets

We’ve made a pack of custom character sheets (available now to all backers via BackerKit) that gives you a nearly-instant character for any base class in Valda's Spire of Secrets with any of their subclasses. Just add some ability scores, pick a race, pop it into the microwave for sixty seconds, and voila! The pre-listed features, custom form-fillable trackers, and clean design means you can use these sheets at the table or online.

I’ve already gotten to print a couple of these out, and they’re perfect for indoctrinating new players into D&D in general, or Mage Hand Press classes in specific. I hope you enjoy them!

Support Offline for a Week

Quick note that support will be unavailable from December 1st until December 7th as we travel to PAX Unplugged and back. Wave 2 should still be shipping in the meantime, but if you encounter any issues, we’ll be in touch as soon as possible!

VTTs

We’re getting closer and closer to the Foundry VTT release. Here’s the current state of things: we’re reviewing the VTT item-by-item to ensure that everything is finished and up-to-snuff, and we’re more than 50% through that review. Also, we’ve imported Strange Owlchemy and Hollyknock Hijinks, which will be finished once we’ve finished the stat blocks and tables. The final task before both of these get released is a full import of all the art, which might take a couple of days; it might take a couple of weeks. We’ve never done this section, so the timetable is a mystery box. Suffice it to say, we’re working our butts off and we’re hopeful it’ll be ready soon!

Roll20 is proceeding smoothly as well! The process of making a Roll20 module is massively different to Foundry, but we’ve been importing classes and spells with considerable speed. Once Foundry is completely finished, we should only have minor details to wrap up for Roll20.

Wave 2 is a Go!

Some Wave 2 orders are going out right now! Some orders from Wave 1 are still being processed or are still in transit (for international backers, your package will be in transit for a few weeks even after it ships).

A few quick notes about tracking emails:

• The Valda’s hardcover, Starter Kit of Secrets, Spell Cards, Minis, and GM Screen will all come in the same box, so your tracking email will just say “slipcase.” Rest assured everything will be within that slipcase.
  
• We’ve encountered an error in which some tracking emails don’t have contents listed. No reason to worry -- your order is still on its way.

Super quick update to let you know that packages have started going out! You should get an email with tracking numbers when your package is on the road. I’ll keep everyone posted as we start to roll out Wave 2 and Wave 3.
