150K Stretch Goal! Loot Tavern Magic Items and Looming Mimics

We’re already at 150K! Take a moment and celebrate -- I’m doing a little dance over here -- because we have Loot Tavern Magic Items in the Spire of Secrets! If you’re familiar with Loot Tavern’s work, it should come as no surprise that every magic item they included are absolutely fire, but I want to call special attention to the Magehunter Plate and Magehunter Blade -- look at these things! Not to spoil what they do, but wizards will be sad when they encounter someone with either item.

Moving right along! Our next stretch goal is the Mimic Book of Mimics, a book that’s all about mimics and is definitely not a mimic in disguise. Why would you think that? How silly of you. Tons of monsters, magic items, and player options in that softcover, which we’ll talk more about as we close in on unlocking it!

Stretch Goal: Character Journal and Loot Tavern

Less than 48 hours in and we’ve unlocked another awesome add-on: a leather class journal that’s the perfect companion for your new 5e character, available as a physical add-on for $40. Here’s a glimpse at some of the custom pages we’ve made for it:

Loot Tavern!

Next up, we have a HUGE stretch goal. Our friends over at Loot Tavern, who made the phenomenal Heliana’s Guide to Monster Hunting earlier this year, are contributing 10 magic items with art to the Spire of Secrets. This brings the total number of magic items in the book to 75 (or 85, depending on how you count them.) Loot Tavern does some amazing art and design, so help us get to include them!

Elderwood Academy Dice Boxes

We wanted to let you know that the dice boxes we're releasing are from Elderwood Academy, not Wyrmwood, as the item name would imply. We changed supplier at the last minute and forgot to modify that name. Kickstarter is updating that item to fix the name soon! 

Geppettin Soundtrack?!?

Last but not least, I need to promote our friend Sean who made a soundtrack inspired by our geppettin race (the teddy bear with an obviously evil sword in our sample!) Here's a sample!

Add-Ons Shuffle 2

We're still working on the add-ons problem! 

The normal add-ons tier (to which about 35 people are pledged) can't get physical add-ons. So we've made a new tier. We need everyone at the $1 tier to switch to the new add-ons tier "Add-Ons Tier -- Physical and Digital" so we can delete the old one.

If you sign up to the new tier, you can get add-ons right away instead of waiting until the end of the campaign.

Stretch Goal: Binder, and Cool New Stuff

We made it to 100K! And WAY ahead of schedule too!

The Complete Binder is now in your hands, which is available as a physical add-on for $15 or a PDF for $10. Even if you’re only loosely interested in the concept, I can’t stress enough how worth it is to try out this class: I firmly believe it's the best class in our back catalog. Pin me down on the Discord and I’ll talk your ear off about how cool the binder lore is -- for now, we should look at the next goal!

Next up, we’re doing something completely new! A leather-bound journal for your next character, which is filled with completely custom pages for your character sheet and campaign notes. Want to keep track of your next character or your entire next campaign in style? This is exactly the book for you.

I’ve worked hard to make extremely sleek, user-friendly interfaces for this notebook. This is the first time we’ve made this sort of product, but if you’ve seen what we’ve done with character sheets in the past, it should come as no surprise that we’ve turned out a must-have journal for in-person or online games.

Another stretch goal: Sterling Vermin!

$75K already! And we’ve unlocked the phenomenal content written by Benjamin Huffman (aka Sterling Vermin Adventuring Co.), the absolute LEGEND behind such classes as the Pugilist, the Scholar, and the Magus. He’s written 5 subclasses for us, which are easily some of the most unique and polished entries in the book.

Next stretch goal is yet ANOTHER Mage Hand Press class! The Complete Binder was too long and too awesome to include in Spire of Secrets, but that wasn’t going to keep us from printing it as a standalone softcover. The Binder is a class which lets you redefine your playstyle each day by attuning to the spirits of dead gods and heroes. These spirits from the past, called vestiges, afford their own features and traits, and each has a backstory all their own, drawn from the margins of world mythology. Their revisionist stories shine a light on tragic tales from across time, and ground the binder's personalities in genuine myth.

The binder is my favorite of all classes, a blast to build, play, and roleplay. Even just reading though it, the class treats you to tales adapted from world mythology to imbue your game world with history and mythology. Spread the word to help us get to 100K!
